TNT Unveils New Original Productions Slate

ATLANTA, March 14: A new legal drama from Steven Bochco and
Ridley Scott’s limited series The Company,
as well as a raft of other projects, headline TNT’s new original programming
production and development slate.

"Our strategy with original series is to provide an
environment in which the industry’s best and brightest can work and be
successful," said Michael Wright, the senior VP of original programming at
the cable network. "The roster of top talent coming to work at TNT demonstrates
our commitment to providing our viewers with the very best dramatic
entertainment possible."

Coming to the network this July is Saving Grace with Holly Hunter making her television series debut
as a tormented, fast-living Oklahoma City police detective. It is a production
of Fox Television Studios.

The Company is a
six-hour limited series premiering in August and starring Chris O’Donnell,
Alfred Molina and Michael Keaton. Based on The New York Times bestseller by Robert Littell, the series traces the activities of the
CIA during the Cold War. It comes to TNT from Sony Pictures Television, with
Ridley Scott (Gladiator), Tony
Scott (The Gathering Storm), John
Calley (The Da Vinci Code), David
Zucker (Numb3rs) and David A.
Rosemont (Into the West) serving
as executive producers.

The network also announced that The Closer returns for its third season in June. Also launching
in June is the Warner Bros. Television drama Heartland, set in the high-tension world of organ donors and
featuring a recently divorced couple, played by Treat Williams (Everwood) and Kari Matchett (Invasion), working both sides of the industry.

Projects in development include The Talisman, a six-hour limited series slated to premiere in the
summer of 2008. It is from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven
Spielberg, adapting Stephen King and Peter Straub’s novel of the same name.

The untitled Steven Bochco project is a drama about young
lawyers who have been friends since law school, but who now work on opposing
sides. Bochco is serving as executive producer on this project, which comes to
TNT from ABC Television Studios and Steven Bochco Productions.

Also in development is Mrs. America, from The Closer executive-producing team of Greer Shephard and
Michael M. Robin. It follows the ups and downs of a woman trying to juggle
family and job and comes to the network from Warner Horizon Television. Leverage is a development project with executive producer
Dean Devlin (Independence Day,
TNT’s The Librarian), under his
Electric Entertainment banner. It is about six professionals who form a team of
modern-day Robin Hoods.

TNT is reviving a classic 1960s series with The Saint, from executive producer William J. McDonald (Rome) and producer Jorge Zamacona (Homicide:
Life on the Street
, Wanted). And A.D. is a one-hour drama series in development
 by Angelo Pizzo and
David Anspaugh, the filmmaking talents behind the movies Hoosiers and Rudy.
