TiVo CEO to Keynote MIPCOM

PARIS: Tom Rogers, the CEO of TiVo, has been lined up to deliver a keynote at MIPCOM, sharing his vision for the future of television and advertising.

The keynote, slated for October 7, will see Rogers being interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter‘s editor-in-chief, Elizabeth Guider. He will discuss how the TiVo service has changed the way viewers consume content. "MIPCOM is an important venue to discuss opportunities and challenges related to our industry," Rogers said. "The media industry must do more to meet consumers’ expectations by giving them the freedom to control their viewing experience."

Rogers’ keynote will open MIPCOM’s Connected Entertainment conference track, focusing on the impact of Internet-enabled TV and how technology is changing the face of content delivery to the home.

Rogers took up the post at TiVo in 2005 and redefined the company’s business model and technology strategy. Previous posts include president of NBC Cable and executive VP of NBC.
