Three’s Company Sold to Broadcasters in Chile and Ecuador

LONDON, January 8: The Latin American sales team of
FremantleMedia Enterprises has sold the comedy format Three’s Company to two broadcasters in the region, Chile-based
Megavision and Ecuador-based Ecuavision.

Local production company Roos Film will produce 50 episodes
of the 30-minute comedy for Megavision,
with pre-production expected to begin this month. In Ecuador, Ecuavision has
commissioned 39 episodes of the show, which they will produce. In addition,
Ecuavision has also acquired 70 episodes of the original series for broadcast
this year.

David Ellender, the CEO of FremantleMedia
Enterprises, commented: “We are delighted to announce these sales of Three’s Company in Latin America, a region proving very
receptive to the many comedy, game show and entertainment formats we are now
able to offer. Having the ability to offer formats in addition to finished
programs adds another string to our bow and sets FME apart as the partner of
choice for quality programming of all types.”

Sheila Aguirre, the VP of sales and development for Latin
America and Hispanic USA, brokered the deal for Three’s Company, the U.S. adaptation of the original hit British
1970s comedy series Man About the House.
