UNIVERSAL CITY: The premiere of NBC’s new singing competition The Voice delivered the highest rating with adults 18 to 49 for a series premiere on a major broadcast network since Undercover Boss debuted post-Super Bowl in February 2010.

With the April 26 debut from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., The Voice was the number one show of the night in adults 18 to 49, scoring a 5.1 rating. The show won its two-hour time period in all key demographics, beating out FOX’s Glee and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars for the night. Compared to NBC’s season average for the time period, The Voice was up 89 percent in adults 18 to 49 and 60 percent in total viewers.

The strong performance of The Voice contributed to NBC winning the night in adult 18 to 49 and all other key demographics.
