The Prisoner Scores Canal+ Slot

CANNES: ITV Studios Global Entertainment secured a sale for the new drama The Prisoner, co-produced by AMC and ITV Studios, to air on French pay-TV outlet Canal+.

 
A modern reworking of the classic 1960s cult series, The Prisoner stars Ian McKellan and Jim Caviezel. Further new dramas for ITV Studios Global Entertainment include Identity, a crime series starring Keeley Hawes and Aidan Gillen.
 
Aline Marrache Tesseraud, the head of acquisitions at Canal+, said: “I am delighted to be confirming that Canal+ has acquired the pay-television rights for The Prisoner, it is a spectacular and extremely compelling high-quality modern drama, starring an A-list cast, which we believe our viewers will find captivating."
