The Listener Slated for Two-Night Debut in Canada

TORONTO: The Listener, produced by Shaftesbury Films in association with NBC and FOX International Channels, will kick off with a special two-night, two-episode premiere in Canada on SPACE and CTV on June 3 and 4.

The show now premieres Wednesday, June 3 at 7 p.m. on SPACE and at 10 p.m. on CTV, immediately following a two-hour So You Think You Can Dance. Episode two now premieres in its regular time slot, Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m. on SPACE and at 10 p.m. on CTV. Following the SPACE/CTV/NBC North American premiere, encore episodes of The Listener air Saturdays at 8 p.m. on SPACE, on demand on spacecast.com and the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca, as well as on-the-go from online download stores.

The Listener chronicles the experiences of Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik), as he learns to master his telepathic gift to help people in desperate need while unravelling the truth about his own mysterious past. In the Canadian preview "I’m An Adult Now," Toby rescues a young woman from a fiery car crash, but is then troubled by visions of her missing son. In the second episode, "Emotional Rescue," Toby receives telepathic visions of an explosion, and is then able to save his former foster brother from an apartment fire. But with a reputation as a tweaker and cooker of crystal meth, the victim becomes the suspect.
