The Incredible Hulk Heads to Blu-ray

LONDON, August 27:
Universal Pictures International Entertainment (UPIE) has set a release date of
October 13 for The Incredible Hulk on
DVD and Blu-ray, marking the studio’s first international debut of a new-release
feature film in the Blu-ray format.

UPIE’s Blu-ray global
strategy rolls out this year in the U.K., Australia, France, Belgium, Spain,
Sweden, Mexico and Russia, among others. Up to 30 Blu-ray titles will be
released by the end of the year, including Wanted, Hellboy II: The Golden
Army
, Mamma Mia! and The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. UPIE will also release popular TV and catalogue
titles such as Heroes,
American Gangster
, Casino and The Thing throughout the year.

Based on the iconic
superhero from Marvel Studios, The Incredible Hulk DVD will include a host of bonus material designed
to take viewers deeper into the content, including Universal’s exclusive
signature U-Control application and interactive features via BD-Live.

president of Marvel Entertainment International and worldwide head of
animation, gaming and wireless, said: “We are pleased to unleash the explosive
and action-packed The Incredible Hulk, one of Marvel Studio’s two blockbuster summer 2008 movies, into homes
around the world on the Blu-ray format. Hulk fans are sure to marvel at the
bonus features and depth of content provided in this release.”
