Ten Sports Chief Exits

DUBAI: Chris McDonald is stepping down as the CEO of the South Asian sports channel Ten Sports, owned by United Arab Emirates-based Taj Television, citing personal reasons.

McDonald founded the company in 2000 and has served as CEO ever since. Effective the end of April, he will move into an advisory role at the channel, which reaches more than 60 million homes worldwide and is the leading sports channel in India and Pakistan.

As of May 1, Peter Hutton will be promoted to COO from senior VP of programming and production and will have operational responsibility for the service, working with executives from Taj Television’s parent companies, Zee Telefilms and Bukhatir Investments.
