TELETOON Names New Creative Director

TORONTO: Matthew Waddell has taken up the post of creative director at Canada’s TELETOON.

Waddell is responsible for the branding, on-air promotion, graphic design and off-channel creative for the TELETOON, TELETOON at Night and TELETOON Retro brands in both English and French. He also leads the TELETOON Studios team in the development of creative ideas and the delivery of all on-air elements, sales promotions and network marketing support. Waddell reports to Russell Ward, the VP of marketing at TELETOON Canada. He comes to the company following a nine-year stint at Astral Television Networks, where he most recently served as associate creative director.

Ward said: “Matt’s extensive experience along with his award-winning portfolio make him the ideal person to lead TELETOON’s highly talented creative team. We are delighted to have him in this key role as we continue to build on the success of our TELETOON brands.”
