Telescreen’s Miffy Movie to Debut Worldwide in 2013

HÖHENKIRCHEN/MUNICH: Miffy, the white rabbit created by Dutch author and illustrator Dick Bruna, is to appear on the big screen in 2013.

Following the success of the puppet animation series Miffy and Friends, the film, Miffy the Movie, which targets preschoolers, will debut worldwide.

m4e company Telescreen Filmproductions and Mercis Publishing are working on the project with Warner Bros. Netherlands and Dutch pubcaster KRO Television.

Shooting has already begun by A.Film Production in Denmark and stop-motion animators in Latvia. Hans Perk of the Netherlands is directing and American screenwriter James Still wrote the script. Production is expected to be complete by 2012.
