Telefonica, Vivendi in Talks With Prisa Over Digital+

MADRID, December 5:
Vivendi has confirmed that it is in talks with Telefonica about a possible
partnership to acquire Prisa's Spanish pay-TV platform Digital+.

Prisa indicated, however,
that it has received other offers. The company put the pay-TV platform up for
sale earlier this year in an effort to reduce its debt. The deal is subject to an
agreement over the price and the two companies' weight in the potential bid.

Prisa
was believed to be seeking 2.5 billion euros ($3.17 billion) for Digital+,
while Telefonica is willing to pay some 2 billion, reports indicate.
