Telefe Unveils Slate for NATPE

BUENOS AIRES, January 2: Telefe International will head to
NATPE stocked with a catalogue of formats, telenovelas and comedies,
highlighted by a new as-yet-untitled prime-time offering starring Facundo Arana.

Arana will be joined by Mónica
Antonopulos for the 150×1-hour telenovela, which mixes elements of traditional
telenovelas and thrillers. The show centers on Bautista (Arana), a forensic
anthropologist who is seeking justice following a loss, in a love story that
also delves into the dark world of human trafficking.

Telefe will also be offering up the 26×1-hour format Countdown, an adaptation of the Argentine hit Final
Minute
from Fox Telecolombia. Shot in high
definition, the series tells the real-time stories of ordinary people facing
tough situations, featuring unexpected twists that combine mystery and action
in high-drama situations. The show is directed by Juan Felipe Orozco, Ricardo
Gabrielli and Felipe Martínez.

In the comedy genre, the 120×30-minute prime-time sitcom One
or the Other
tells the story of a love triangle
between a woman, her husband and her new lover, starring Florencia Peña, Fabián
Vena and Luis Luque. B & B is
another 120×30-minute series being presented by Telefe for a prime-time
audience. The daily Cris Morena and RGB comedy stars
Damián de Santo and Romina Yan—the couple created for Loony Love—in
a story of music, love and hate. An adaptation of the Argentine hit Cool
Dad,
the 174×45-minute series Super Dad
has become a leading show in its time slot
on Canal 8 of Quito and Canal 10 of Guayaquil. It tells the story of a
widower and his three daughters and the nanny that arrives to look after them.

Additional titles on offer from Telefe include Watch Over
Me,
a 64×40-minute adaptation of its hit
telenovela Forever Julia; a new
season of the teen telenovela Teenangels; and the 3×1-hour Missing Identity, which is based on real cases of children kidnapped in Argentina.
