TBS, MySpace Launch Multiplatform Comedy Initiative

ATLANTA, October 27: TBS is working with MySpace for an
online competition allowing up-and-coming comics to submit video samples of
their work, with five finalists set to appear in a one-hour special that will
air on TBS on November 17.

The Stand Up or Sit Down Comedy Challenge allows comics to
submit video samples at myspace.com/StandUpOrSitDown.
MySpace users will select five finalists who will perform in a one-hour special
hosted by comedian George Lopez and filmed at The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. The special will premiere on TBS on
Friday, November 17 at 10 p.m. MySpace visitors will then vote again after the
special, with the winner to be announced live on TBS during a break in the
network’s simulcast of the Comic Relief 2006 special on November 18. The winning comedian will
receive $50,000, a development deal and other prizes.

“Stand Up or Sit Down Comedy Challenge is a multiplatform
comedy extravaganza that encompasses television, online/broadband and live
entertainment, while also providing a dynamic partnership opportunity for TBS,
MySpace and other partners," said Steve Koonin, the president of Turner
Entertainment Networks. "We are proud to be a part of this extensive
initiative and look forward to searching for, finding and showcasing very fresh
and very funny talent."

"MySpace is all about enabling creative communities to
express themselves while interacting with fans and friends," added Josh
Brooks, the VP of content and programming at MySpace. "TBS offers our
comedians an incredible platform for exposure and we expect to see impressive
submissions from our pool of unique and talented comics."
