Target Takes On New Dating Format

LONDON, September 16: Loveland, a dating format from Standing Stone that combines
real-time animation within a studio-based show, has been picked up by Target
Entertainment Group.

Using the latest virtual
real-time animation technology, Loveland enables contestants to create their own animated alter-egos. The
computer-generated animated characters date each while the audience watches,
and in the end the contestants pick who they would like to date and meat for
real.

Sky1 is in development on
a pilot for a new ten-part series, scheduled for broadcast next spring, and
Target will begin presale and format-option discussions for Loveland at MIPCOM.

Georgina Eyre, the acquisitions
manager at Target Entertainment Group, said: “We are delighted to have the
distribution rights to Loveland.
It’s a new and innovative take on the classic dating format and will provide
audiences with a truly interactive entertainment experience. We think it will
really capture the imagination of broadcasters internationally.”
