TORONTO: Entertainment company TableRock Media is set to develop and produce an array of niche OTT channels for global distribution, due out next year.

The internet-based subscription channels will focus on key genres including guitars, motorcycles and aviation. Content will include a combination of original productions created and distributed by TableRock Media—such as documentaries, films and hosted series—along with acquired programming. All channels will be available through Apple and Android devices, set-top boxes, video-game consoles and other platforms.

“Over-the-top content consumption has empowered consumers to make personalized viewing choices, and we see an opportunity to provide audiences with premium programming and experiences specifically tailored to their interests,” said Jeffrey Elliott, co-founder and CEO of TableRock Media. “With consumers now in the driver’s seat, our strategy is to create niche media brands that will complement general entertainment subscription-based offerings for global audiences.”
