Studio100 Clinches Asian Distribution Deal for Alfred Jodocus Kwak

CANNES, April 14:
Studio100 Media has completed an agreement with J.F.A. Productions, part of the
Herman van Veen Studios group, to distribute the animated children’s property Alfred
Jodocus Kwak
across Asia.

The deal includes the
distribution of TV and video/DVD rights for the series, which is based on a
Dutch theater show. Alfred Jodocus Kwak centers on a curious and cheerful orphan duck who grows up in the care
of a mole, and whose mission it is to communicate the importance of people’s
behavior in relation to their surroundings and environment.

Patrick Elmendorff, the
general manager of Studio100 Media, said, “Alfred Jodocus Kwak was first distributed in the early ’90s in over 48
countries and with more than 300 different merchandising products with huge
success. With its soft educational personality, the series has great potential
and we are confident that this well known and loved series with its
entertaining power and social topics will be just as popular and appealing in
Asia”.

Stephan Dunweg, the
managing director of Herman van Veen Studios, said, “We are delighted in
finalizing this deal with Studio100 Media. With such a strong partnership, we
believe that Alfred is in safe hands in his new home in Asia”.
