StarHub Boosts Sports Package

SINGAPORE, August 1: Following the recent launch of its
Football Channel, dedicated to Barclays English Premier League programming,
StarHub will add two more offerings—Goal TV and Goal TV 2—to its
digital cable TV Sports Group package, bringing the total number of available networks
to seven.

With the additions of Goal TV 1
and Goal TV 2, customers will have access to exclusive ‘live’ soccer from the
French, Dutch and Scottish leagues, as well as original programming and
behind-the-scenes footage from four of Europe’s top football clubs: Manchester
United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona. The club programming will include
exclusive interviews with the players, breaking news and in-depth pre- and
post-match expert analyses of the matches involving the clubs. Both Goal TV 1
and Goal TV 2 were previously offered by StarHub Digital Cable as part of its
Football Favourites package.

The seven channels available in the Sports Group will offer
a total of 370 live and delayed Barclays Premier League games this season and
up to 10 Premier League matches weekly for Sports Group customers. Most of the
matches will be televised on Football Channel, with the simulcast matches to be
aired on StarHub’s other self-packaged sports channels, SuperSports and
SuperSports Plus. In a first, up to three live Premier League matches will be
aired concurrently on Saturday evenings. A total of four live and two delayed
matches will be aired on Saturdays, with another four live matches to be
scheduled on Sundays and Tuesdays. In addition to Premier League matches, there
will also be supplementary Premier League programs.

For the first time, StarHub will also stream Premier League
matches on Football Channel live via its broadband and mobile
platforms—i.View and MobileTV Xtra—at no extra charge for Sports
Group customers till the end of the Premier League season in May 2008.

Tham Loke Kheng, StarHub’s senior VP of content and
marketing, commented: “With StarHub now streaming Premier League matches 'live'
across TV, broadband and mobile platforms, sports buffs can get their soccer
fix on-the-go, and round-the-clock. We are committed to providing value for
Sports Group subscribers, by upping the number of channels in the group from
four to seven, and by providing the 24-hour Football Channel on broadband and
mobile platforms as free additional services."
