Southern Star Takes on New Properties

SYDNEY, July 7: Southern
Star International has been appointed the international distributor of The
Kylie Interview and of the kids’
series The Shak.

The Kylie Interview is the first interview with Australian pop star
Kylie Minogue since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005. The
one-hour special, produced by Endemol Southern Star, was filmed last month in
London and is slated to premiere on Sky One in the U.K. on July 16, followed by
Nine Network Australia on July 17.

The Shak is a 200×30-minute kids’ series from Nine
Network that answers questions from children such as “Why is the sky blue?”
and “What kind of animal is a platypus?” Viewers can send their questions by
mail, email, SMS or video. Southern Star International will launch the series
at MIPCOM.
