Southern Star Clinches Asian Deal for Rush

SYDNEY: Fox International Channels has taken on the Australian drama Rush from Southern Star International to air on its FOX Crime channel in Asia.

A Southern Star John Edwards production for Network Ten, Rush is set in a critical incident police unit. A second season is already in production, with sales for the first season concluded in, among others, France (AB Droits), Norway (TV2), Finland (YLE), Ireland (RTE), Eastern Europe (Sony AXN), MBC (the Middle East) and New Zealand (TVNZ).

Rupi Sagoo, the director of programming for FIC pan-Asia, said: “FIC Asia is thrilled to be extending the relationship with Southern Star by introducing strong Australian crime shows such as Rush first in Asia. Rush is a special drama which has a combination of compelling story lines and recognizable faces, making it a key offering for FOX Crime audiences in Asia during fall 2009.”
