Sophie Turner Laing, Doug Herzog Among Tartikoff Legacy Award Honorees

LOS ANGELES: Steve Harvey, Doug Herzog, Quincy Jones, Sophie Turner Laing and Norman Lear have been selected to receive NATPE’s 13th annual Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award.

Turner Laing is the CEO of Endemol Shine Group. She oversees a network of more than 120 creative production companies in over 30 markets. Harvey is a comedian, businessman, radio mogul, TV personality and best-selling author. He is the host of the Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show Steve Harvey, currently in its fourth season. Herzog is the president of Viacom’s Music & Entertainment Group, which includes Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, Spike and Logo. Jones is a multimedia entrepreneur. In 1997, he founded Quincy Jones Media Group, which develops and produces feature films, TV, live entertainment, direct-response marketing and cross-media projects for home entertainment and educational applications. Lear is a producer, writer, director and author. His TV credits include the iconic series All in the Family, as well as Sanford and Son, Good Times, The Jeffersons and many others.

The honorees will receive their award at a special reception on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach. The Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award was created to recognize a select group of TV professionals who exhibit extraordinary passion, leadership, independence and vision in the process of creating television programming.
