LONDON: Sky Vision has filled three newly created senior roles within its distribution arm, including tapping former PBS Distribution MD Gillian Rose for a U.S. post.

Rose, former managing director of PBS Distribution, is joining Sky Vision as the senior VP of sales and acquisitions for the U.S. The post is based in New York and reports to Managing Director Jane Millichip. Rose will be responsible for sales of Sky originals and Sky Vision’s third-party programs into the U.S., covering presales, format business and tape sales. She will also oversee the acquisition of U.S. programming for the Sky Vision catalog.

Millichip said: “It is a measure of Sky Vision’s growing profile in the U.S. that someone of Gillian’s caliber is joining us. Gillian’s expertise across sales, acquisitions and production is very impressive. She also has a fantastic reputation for professionalism and skilled deal-making. I am delighted to welcome her to the Sky Vision fold.”

Caroline Clarke joins Sky Vision as senior sales manager for Asia, based in Singapore. Clarke previously headed up business development at ITN Source across AsiaPac Rim.

“Caroline’s knowledge of, and great relationships in, the market give us the dedicated presence that we need in Asia. She is a talented sales executive and deal-maker,” said Millichip.

Colin Burgess takes on role of director of operations. Burgess, who moves from head of interactive services at Sky, will be responsible for all of Sky Vision’s operations and servicing functions, and reports to Millichip.

Millichip said: “Colin joins Sky Vision with a wealth of experience in the technical and customer-servicing area. His appointment is key to our ‘best in class’ servicing strategy.”

Sky Vision is also recruiting for the London-based role of director of drama and comedy, to replace Kylie Munnich, who leaves the business after MIPCOM to take up a new post in Australia.
