Sky Launched Remote Record

LONDON,
June 28: Sky has introduced a new service than allows viewers to program their
Sky+ digital boxes by mobile phone.

The
service, called Remote Record, will be available as an SMS service, on mobile
Internet and on the sky.com website. It will enable Sky+ and SkyHD subscribers
to program and request remote recording on their set-top boxes from anywhere in
the world.

Viewers with a 2.5G or
3G phone who have downloaded the "Sky by mobile" application are
already able to view Sky's seven-day TV guide on their phone. Now, with Remote
Record, they will be able to select programs to record by sending a short
message with program details to a dedicated number.
