DAZN and Sky have secured broadcasting rights for live Serie A matches in Italy for the next five seasons through 2029.

Sky acquired for the 2024-29 cycle the co-exclusive rights to three matches per match day for a total of 114 Serie A games per season, along with highlights of all 380 matches, archive rights for the current seasons and exclusive rights to all Serie A matches for bars, hotels and other public venues. From the 2024-25 season, Serie A will be featured on Sky, with three evenings of great Italian soccer: Saturdays at 8:45 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m. and Mondays at 8:45 p.m. Unlike the current cycle, the package will also include four big matches for each season and includes a significantly more favorable pick system.

Viewers can access every Serie A TIM match live on DAZN, with seven exclusive matches (266 out of 380 matches per season) and three co-exclusive matches (114 matches per season). This is for the upcoming five-year rights cycle starting from the 2024-25 season.

“We have decided to increase our investment in Serie A to offer our subscribers a significantly greater number of top matches,” commented Marzio Perrelli, sport executive VP at Sky Italia. “From next season, we will, in fact, have many more top challenges of the big teams in Serie A, broadcasting at least 30 of the best 76 matches in the league. We will thus offer three great evenings of soccer that, together with exclusive Champions League matches, the entire Europa League, the Conference League and Premier League and Bundesliga matches, will allow fans to experience, six evenings a week, the emotions of great national and international soccer.”

Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said: “DAZN has worked incredibly hard over the past five years to deliver for Serie A, its Clubs and their fans. We are grateful to the trust they have put in us for the next five years to keep delivering, innovating, and driving the enjoyment and passion that Italian football is renowned for. It’s a fantastic outcome for all parties.  We will keep striving to create the best possible services for our customers, with an absolute focus on making even better the accessibility, entertainment and invention that DAZN’s world-leading technology is designed to deliver.”

Stefano Azzi, CEO of DAZN Italy, said: “We are thrilled with this result. Remaining the go-to platform for Serie A TIM and the main partner of Lega Serie A demonstrates the solidity of the partnership developed in recent years, of which we are extremely proud. Having in front of us, for the first time, a five-year time horizon and having set, also economically, our offer in the tender on a logic of sharing the growth we expect from the Italian market lays the foundations for a fruitful and constructive relationship with Lega Serie A and the Clubs. We look forward to starting this innovative development path to further increase the value of the Serie A product by bringing it, in new ways, to a wider audience.”
