SHANGHAI: Tudou, a leading video-sharing site in China, has completed a $50 million Series E funding round that was led by Singapore’s Temasek Holdings.

Temasek, the Singapore government’s investment arm, contributed $35 million of the new funding round, while $15 million came from existing investors. In total, Tudou has raised $135 million in funding since its 2005 launch.

The financing will be used to expand the platform and develop mobile/portable device video technology. Tudou also plans to integrate professional content with its "Orange Box" made-for-Internet original programming. The site hosts 38 million videos.
