Singaporean Outfits Notch Up Co-Production Deals

CANNES, October 10: Off the back of the launch of the
Singapore Media Fusion campaign to raise the profile of Singaporean content
worldwide, several production outfits from the island nation announced new
international co-production deals at MIPCOM this week.

iV Lab has entered into an agreement with Nelvana to
co-produce an adventure animation series entitled Future is Wild. The outfit has also tied up with Promenade Pictures
in the U.S. and Huhu Studios in New Zealand for the biblical animation project The
Flood.

Scrawl Studios is working with DECODE Entertainment and
Agogo Media on the $4-million sci-fi animated comedy series Gizmo. And Lights and Shadows has a $4-million deal with
Australia’s Stewart-Wall-Entertainment to create a high-definition 3-D animated
series titled Odd Sox.

Building on the success of its German co-production House
of Harmony, Oak3 Films is tying up with
another German outfit, Smeaton Entertainment, for the TV movie Love
Under the Sign of Dragon for prime-time
broadcast on ARD.
