Silver Mountain Distribution Seals Movie Deals

Silver Mountain Distribution (SMD) has unveiled a new wave of global sales, including on Patricia Kelly’s Verdigris with an in-flight deal with Spafax for Aer Lingus and a broadcast and VOD pact with RTÉ.

Italy’s Cecchi Gori Group snapped up VOD rights for CG Entertainment for the title. SMD has also sold in-flight rights on Aer Lingus for Sam Uhlemann’s The Edge of Chaos and Chiara Viale’s The New Music, alongside an Iberia Airlines in-flight deal for Borja Alcalde’s La Sagrada Familia.

On the VOD front, multi-territory agreements were secured with AVF, which acquired rights to The Edge of Chaos and Igor Voloshin’s The Cellar across the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany and Italy.

Further broadcast and VOD sales include SBS Australia acquiring Nick Kelly’s The Song Cycle, Garo Berberian’s Married to the Music and Elliott Gonzo’s Tight: The World of Indian Bodybuilding.

“In a challenging global market, our strategy remains simple: find outstanding stories from underrepresented voices and deliver them to audiences worldwide,” said Dominique Murphy-de Neef, creative director of Silver Mountain Productions. “The quality of our films speak for themselves and these latest deals are a testament to the trust international buyers place in our slate.”
