Showtime Programming Joins Amazon Unbox Lineup

SEATTLE, October 18: A number of titles from Showtime,
including the critically acclaimed drama The L Word and the pilot for the new show Dexter, have joined the lineup on the digital content
download service Amazon Unbox, which launched in September.

This is the first digital download deal for The L Word. The agreement also includes Weeds, Sleeper Cell, Dave Chapelle’s ‘For What it’s Worth,’ Fat Actress, Penn & Teller: BS!
and Free for All, all priced at
$1.99 per episode. In addition, Unbox users, from today until October 25, can
download the pilot for the buzz-generating Dexter, starring Michael C. Hall, for 1 cent.

“Showtime is always looking for creative new ways to bring
our great original series to a larger audience,” said Robert Hayes, the SVP and
general manager of Showtime Networks Digital Media. “Amazon’s Unbox is a
perfect platform for this as viewers who want to experience Showtime’s programs
can visit Amazon.com and download episodes of shows like Weeds, Sleeper Cell and The L Word, to their
PC.”

Showtime joins a slew of other content providers on Unbox,
including CBS, Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, Comedy Central and MTV.
