Showtime Preps Dexter Webisodes

LOS ANGELES: Following the record-breaking premiere of season four of the acclaimed drama Dexter, Showtime has announced plans to debut a series of animated webisodes to accompany the series.

Dexter: Early Cuts is a 12-part series consisting of four, one to two minute chapters, focusing on how Dexter’s killing techniques evolved, from haphazard to the calculated methods seen on the show. The series written by Dexter producer and writer Lauren Gussis. Each webisode will be brought to life by a different illustrator. Kyle Baker, an eight-time Eisner Award winner headlines the roster along with Andres Vera Martinez and Ty Templeton. The stories are driven by voiceover from Dexter (Michael C. Hall). Other digital extensions for the show include an online and mobile game and a Facebook application.
