Showtime Drama Heads to DIRECTV

EL SEGUNDO: Satellite platform DIRECTV has picked up seasons one and two of Showtime’s Sleeper Cell for carriage on The 101 Network as well as on its on-demand service.

All 18 episodes of the show, about an FBI agent who infiltrates an Islamic terrorist cell in Los Angeles, will air commercial-free and in HD on DIRECTV, beginning January 28. The series, distributed by CBS Television Distribution, first aired on Showtime in 2005 and was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe in 2006. For the show’s second season, Michael Ealy earned a Golden Globe nod for his performance.
