Shaftesbury Sales Company Closes Deals for TV Movie

TORONTO, March 22: Shaftesbury Sales Company has licensed
the 90-minute family TV movie Booky Makes Her Mark to Sky in the U.K., TV3 in Ireland, Netherlands
Public Broadcasting and Reshet-TV in Israel.

Booky Makes Her Mark
will be available to international buyers at MIPTV via Shaftesbury Sales
Company. The movie, which is based the trilogy of books by award-winning author
Bernice Thurman Hunte, follows a spunky 15-year-old named Beatrice “Booky”
Thomson who pursues her dream of becoming a great writer despite the fact that
her parents are barely able to provide for her and her siblings. Booky
Makes Her Mark
is produced by Platt
Productions and Shaftesbury Films in association with CBC Television and with
the financial participation of the Shaw Rocket Fund.
