CANNES/TORONTO, October

Shaftesbury Films’ live-action kids’ comedy series Life with Derek.

Life with Derek is translated into more than 12 languages and airs
in more than 100 countries worldwide including the U.S. (Disney Channel),
France, the U.K., Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Latin America, Eastern Europe,
Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Created by Daphne Ballon,
and commissioned by The Family Channel in Canada, the 70×30-minute Life with
Derek
is produced by Shaftesbury
Films and distributed internationally by Shaftesbury Sales Company.

Life with Derek is about a modern blended family, which has forced
together two willful teenagers, Casey (Ashley Leggat) and Derek (Michael
Seater), each used to being in charge and each determined to keep it that way.
Meanwhile, Derek and Casey’s younger siblings are caught in the middle and
change allegiances depending on the issue or the size of the bribe.

“We are delighted to
announce that Japanese audiences will be introduced to the increasingly popular
MacDonald-Venturi household,” said Shane Kinnear, the VP of marketing and sales
for Shaftesbury Films. “Life with Derek resonates with viewers worldwide and garners top-notch ratings that
we anticipate will continue for years to come.”
