SevenOne Scores Slew of Sales on Benidorm Bastards

MUNICH: The production rights for the hit Belgian show Benidorm Bastards have been sold by SevenOne International to more than 20 countries, including Germany, Israel and Australia.

The series, which features seven elderly men and women who make fun of the younger generations, will soon be airing in further countries such as France, Spain, Greece, New Zealand and throughout the Middle East. Benidorm Bastards debuted on Belgium’s 2BE in March, with market shares of up to 27.9 percent with viewers 18 to 44, outperforming the channel’s average by up to 284 percent.

When we presented it for the first time at this year’s MIPTV in Cannes, Benidorm Bastards turned into the hottest show on the market in no time and had everyone choke with laughter.
