SevenOne Rolls Out Beat Your Host Format

MUNICH, October 29:
SevenOne International has finalized a raft of global sales for several of its
hit ProSiebenSat.1 shows, including the game show Beat Your Host, which has sold to a total of 14 countries.

New countries picking up Beat
Your Host
include Norway, Denmark,
the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary and Australia. The follows deals closed in the
U.S., U.K. and other markets this spring.

SevenOne has also inked
agreements Clever, produced by
Constantin Entertainment, in the Netherlands, France, Poland, Greece, Taiwan
and Malaysia. The show has now been licensed to a total of 21 countries.
Channel 9 in Thailand and CCTV in China have also purchased the broadcast
rights for new episodes, and rather than producing their own versions, they air
the German version with Barbara Eligmann and Wigald Boning, dubbed into the
local language.

Another Constantin Entertainment
production, Family Showdown,
has been sold to Italy and Spain, while Keshet Formats’ music game show All
Together Now
was sold to Vietnam
on behalf of Israeli TV broadcaster Keshet.

Jens Richter, the managing
director of SevenOne International, commented: "For TV producers and
stations, as a rule there are two important things about buying program
formats: the concept, and how well the show did in its country of origin. In
that regard, our shows like Beat Your Host and Clever can
convince buyers right down the line. Beat Your Host was the most successful TV debut in Germany in
four years."
