SevenOne Highlights Strong Fiction Slate

MUNICH: SevenOne International’s catalogue includes more than 30 new fiction programs, among them Crash Point: Berlin.

The ProSieben action thriller Crash Point: Berlin is about a charter flight on the verge of crashing into downtown Berlin. Other TV events on offer include Cloud Chasers, a catastrophe movie about a mysterious weather phenomenon, and Rabbit without Ears, a romantic comedy starring German Hollywood star Til Schweiger.

SevenOne is also presenting the series S1NGLE, about three friends who work in the same hospital unit. Hidden Defects, meanwhile, presents five young and ambitious real-estate agents whose lives revolve around opportunities in business, romance and a mysterious murder. In The Medical Intern, the struggle between having a career and private life is put center stage. Further series in the SevenOne catalogue include The Jackpot, in which two families move into an upscale neighborhood after winning the lottery, and Famous, a comedy about a chaotic shop assistant who turns into a star overnight.

Two Santas leads off SevenOne’s mini-series. The seasonal tale stars the German actors/comedians Bastian Pastewka and Christoph Maria Herbst. In the movie category are Mia and the Millionaire, a romantic comedy about a journalist stumbles upon an intriguing newspaper ad; Hearts on Ice, a drama about a fateful trip to Iceland; and Dream Hotel: Cape Town, set against the backdrop of the South African landscape.

Upcoming events include The Frontier, which sets the scenario of an economic crisis deteriorating into a civil war; Fugitives, in which three friends find themselves on the run, with the authorities in hot pursuit; and The Whore, which narrates the life a 15th-century cloth-merchant’s daughter, who is accused of being a whore. The upcoming catastrophe event Sea of Death follows as mysterious unicellular killer organisms from the North Sea threaten the lives of many. In the action thriller Factor 8, an unknown virus is found on board a plane.
