Sesame Workshop Names New Assistant VP for Government Affairs

WASHINGTON D.C./NEW YORK, December 10: Sesame Workshop, the
nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street,
has appointed Aura Kenny Dunn as assistant VP for government affairs.

Dunn will manage Sesame Workshop’s government relations
efforts and advance the organization’s visibility in federal policy and funding
arenas to promote education and well-being for children around the globe.

Most recently, Dunn worked at The Greystone Group, where for
three years she coordinated legislative affairs on behalf of Sesame Workshop.
She has also served as a staff member for the U.S. Senate Appropriations
Committee, and a policy advisor for Congressman Jack Quinn.

“Coupling Aura’s wealth of experience in government and
public television with Sesame Workshop’s mission to educate and improve the
lives of children naturally presents invaluable ways to advocate on behalf of
kids everywhere,” said Myung Kang-Huneke, the VP and general counsel of Sesame
Workshop, to whom Dunn will report. “Her expertise and access within the
beltway and the television industry will help Sesame Workshop expand the
growing reach of this mission.”
