LONDON: DRG has secured four international production partnerships for the quiz format Sell Me the Answer, including a pickup in the U.S.

In the U.S., the quiz show, in which players barter with an audience for answers in a bid to win a sum of money, is set to be locally produced by Fishbowl Worldwide Media. The Gurin Company, which is behind The Singing Bee and Weakest Link, will partner in the production.

DRG has also secured deals with Monster Entertainment in Norway, Coral Europa in Spain and Instanbul Organizasyon in Turkey.

Alex Lazurus, a managing consultant at Lazarus Media, said: “Sell Me the Answer achieved solid ratings for SF1 in 2010 and we’re delighted with the second-season prime-time commission. Now, we’re busy working with DRG and its production partners in developing more international installments, based on this fantastically produced version.”

Andrea Jackson, the managing director of acquisitions at DRG, added: “Sell Me the Answer is a very well developed and proven success story for SF1. An exciting format with a very clear game-structure and strong identity; it has a very impressive elasticity which allows us to successfully position the show as both a prime-time event and stripped series.”
