Second Quarter Revenues and Profit Fall at TV Azteca

MEXICO CITY, July 24: TV Azteca has reported second quarter
revenues of Ps. 2.2 billion ($206.9 million), a 19-percent drop on last year,
with net profit down 68 percent to Ps. 218 million ($20.2 million).

"Comparables are particularly difficult this period
because the second quarter a year ago registered the peak of the advertising
revenue cycle related to the extraordinary events of 2006," said Mario San
Roman, the CEO of TV Azteca. "The expectations for the second half of the
year are more favorable, and we have a solid position to capture higher
advertising investment, through programming grids that generate superior
audience levels and allow for the development of wide range commercial plans."

At Azteca America, revenues rose 22 percent to Ps. 141
million, while programming sales revenues were flat at Ps. 24 million.
