Sci Fi in Germany Takes Farscape

UNTERFOEHRING, August 24: Through a deal with
EM.Entertainment, NBC Universal Global Networks Deutschland has picked up the
rights to Farscape for its Sci Fi
channel in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The agreement covers the
exclusive pay-TV rights to the first three seasons—66 45-minute
episodes—of the science fiction series. It is slated to launch in the
first quarter of next year. Sci Fi is available in Germany on Premiere and on
Kabel Deutschland, Kabel Baden-Württemberg, Ish, Iesy and Primacom. In Austria,
Sci Fi is distributed by UPC Telekabel, and in Switzerland by Swisscom
Broadcast.
