SCI FI Channel to Launch in Latin America

BUENOS AIRES, March 8: NBC
Universal’s SCI FI Channel will be available across Latin America beginning
April 1, with carriage on DIRECTV Panamericana and Cablevision in Mexico.

Aimed at viewers aged 18 to 49,
the show will feature original series like Eureka, Dresden Files and Ghost
Hunters
; and the original movies Cerberus, Solar Attack and Caved In. Also set
to air on the network are Star Trek: Next Generation, Stargate SG1, Sliders and Tremors, among other series, as well as feature films such
as Lara Croft: Tomb Rider, E.T. and Men in Black, and a strand entitled Stephen King Hour, with mini-series like The Langoliers, The Tommyknockers and The Stand.

This is NBC Universal’s second
network in the region, following the rollout of Universal Channel.
