SBS Reports Record Revenues

LUXEMBOURG, March 9: Net revenues at SBS Broadcasting for
2006 were up by 14 percent to 1 billion euros, the company announced today,
delivering an EBITDA of 207 million euros, a 43 percent gain on 2005.

Commercial TV accounted for 70 percent of SBS’s revenues,
followed by pay TV with 15 percent, radio with 8 percent and print with 7
percent. The company also reported the increasing importance of non-advertising
revenues, which accounted for 39 percent of revenues last year, up from 34
percent. In addition, SBS’s performance was driven by improvements in the
results of SBS’s commercial television stations in the Netherlands, Belgium,
the Nordic countries and Romania.

Patrick Tillieux, the acting CEO of SBS Broadcasting Group,
commented: “2006 has been a record year for the group across virtually all
financial metrics. Our diverse mix of European operations and our innovative
management team have enabled us to successfully identify and capitalize on the
growth opportunities within our multi-channel offering. Our commercial
television and radio operations achieved solid results as we continue to
deliver on our targeted audiences, while our premium pay-TV business in the
Nordic region has established itself as the market leader with more than
900,000 subscriptions.”
