Saving Grace to End Run in 2010

ATLANTA: TNT’s popular Holly Hunter drama Saving Grace, which has been averaging more than 3.5 million viewers during its run this summer, will come to an end in 2010, the cable network has announced.

The original series from Fox Television Studios, in which Hunter plays an Oklahoma City police detective, will wrap up with a nine-episode run next summer. The show is executive produced by Hunter along with show creator Nancy Miller, Gary A. Randall and Artie Mandelberg. As it nears the end of its current summer season on Tuesday, the show ranks as number one its time period among viewers, households, adults 25-54 and women 25-54.

“Since Saving Grace began in 2007, the series has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare,” said Michael Wright, the executive VP and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “The show’s continued success is thanks to the amazing talents of Holly Hunter and Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team. They have taken us on a unique journey, and we look forward to seeing where it will ultimately lead.”
