SAG Awards Recognize This Is Us, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were presented last night, honoring motion picture and television performances from 2018, with the casts of This Is Us and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel landing wins.

Jason Bateman won for his performance in the drama series Ozark, while Sandra Oh was recognized for her work in the drama series Killing Eve. The win for ensemble performance in a drama series went to This Is Us.

In the comedy series arena, stars from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel swept the category: Tony Shalhoub for male actor and Rachel Brosnahan for female actor. The cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was recognized with the win for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.

Darren Criss won for his portrayal of Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story in the category for TV movie or limited series. The female actor winner in the category was Patricia Arquette for Escape at Dannemora.

Outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a comedy or drama series went to GLOW.

Alan Alda was recognized with the 55th annual SAG Life Achievement Award.

In film, Black Panther won for outstanding performance by a cast. Rami Malek was honored for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody and Glenn Close was recognized for her work in The Wife. Supporting nods went to Mahershala Ali for Green Book and Emily Blunt for A Quiet Place.
