SAG Nominees Include Jennifer Aniston, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Cast

Nominees for the 26th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards have been unveiled, with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel scoring a slew of nominations for both individual performances and for ensemble.

Alex Borstein and Rachel Brosnahan are both nominated for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in the category for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series, alongside Christina Applegate for Dead to Me, Catherine O’Hara for Schitt’s Creek and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Fleabag. In the male actor category for comedy series, the nominees are Alan Arkin and Michael Douglas for The Kominsky Method, Bill Hader for Barry, Andrew Scott for Fleabag and Tony Shalhoub for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

For drama series, the female actor nominees are Jennifer Aniston for The Morning Show, Helena Bonham Carter and Olivia Colman for The Crown, Jodie Comer for Killing Eve and Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid’s Tale. The Morning Show‘s Steve Carell and Billy Crudup are both up for the award on the male actor in a drama series side, along with Sterling K. Brown for This Is Us, Peter Dinklage for Game of Thrones and David Harbour for Stranger Things.

In the TV movie or miniseries arena, female actor nods went to Patricia Arquette and Joey King for The Act, Toni Collette for Unbelievable, Emily Watson for Chernobyl and Michelle Williams for Fosse/Verdon. Sam Rockwell is nominated for Fosse/Verdon on the male actor side for TV movie or miniseries, facing off against True Detective‘s Mahershala Ali, Russell Crowe for The Loudest Voice and Jharrel Jerome for When They See Us.

Ensemble nods for drama series went to the casts of Big Little Lies, The Crown, Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale and Stranger Things. For comedy series, the casts of Barry, Fleabag, The Kominsky Method, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Schitt’s Creek are up for the ensemble award.

The SAG nominees for outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a comedy or drama series represent Game of Thrones, GLOW, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead and Watchman.

The SAG Awards Ceremony will be simulcast live on January 19, 2020, on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m.
