Saban Brands Names Agents for Power Rangers

LOS ANGELES: As Brand Licensing Europe got under way in London today, Saban Brands announced the appointment of several agents to roll out Power Rangers product beginning in 2011.

The agents include Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) for Western Europe, Kidz Entertainment for Scandinavia/Eastern Europe, Haven Licensing for Australia/New Zealand, Segal Licensing for Canada, Character Licensing & Marketing (CLM) for South Africa, Exim Licensing for Latin America excluding Mexico and The Rutherford James Group (TRJG) for the Middle East. Product based on the new Power Rangers—which is set to feature a samurai theme—are expected at retail beginning in fall 2011, with further roll outs in spring 2012.

“I am thrilled to be working with the world’s best licensing agencies as we grow the Power Rangers franchise to new heights," said Kirk Bloomgarden, senior VP of international licensing at Saban Brands.

The new television series will be formally introduced to buyers at MIPCOM next week by MarVista Entertainment.
