RUSH Expands Western European Reach

NEW YORK/COLOGNE, October 14: RUSH, VOOM HD Networks’
24-hour linear channel dedicated to extreme sports, has joined the offerings of
European digital platform Eutelsat’s KabelKiosk, a 100-channel digital
satellite service available to operators in Germany, Austria, Switzerland,
Luxemburg and Denmark.

This adds to RUSH’s reach more than 2.6 million households
served by KabelKiosk’s 250 cable and IPTV affiliates. The extreme-sports
channel is already available on Germany’s Kabel BW, and a high-definition
version of the channel is available on BSkyB’s satellite platform in the U.K.

RUSH programs include The North Face Expedition Series, which follows athletes and adventurers as they
travel to some of the world’s most visually impressive locations; Quest
for the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup
, focused on
America’s premier auto-racing league; and The
P.I.G. Competitions
, featuring top athletes
from around the world as they challenge each other to replicate stunts. Also
airing on RUSH are Nomads, a
documentary series that follows athletes from various disciplines as they
search for the perfect spot, the best competition and a place to make their
mark, and Focused, which watches extreme
athletes as they travel to remote corners of the globe to push the limits of
their sport to capture a photograph or clip of film.

“To make RUSH part of the KabelKiosk service was a natural
progression for us and truly benefits everyone,” said Glenn Oakley, VOOM HD
Networks’ senior VP of global operations and business development. “Eutelsat
not only provides a key satellite footprint in Europe, it also offers a vital
service to affiliates throughout the region.”

Added KabelKiosk’s managing director, Martina Rutenbeck,
“With consumer demand for extreme and action sports programming at an all-time
high, RUSH is an exciting and necessary addition to our offering. This channel
delivers it all in superb quality.”
