RHI’s Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Set for U.S. Premiere

NEW
YORK, April 23: RHI Entertainment’s two-hour original movie Dr. Jekyll and
Mr. Hyde
, an updated version of
Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel, will make its U.S. television debut during ION Television’s RHI
Movie Weekend
block on Saturday,
May 17.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde stars Dougray Scott (Desperate Housewives, Mission Impossible II, RHI’s
The Ten Commandments
), Emmy Award-winner Tom Skerritt (Brothers &
Sisters
, Picket Fences, A River Runs Through It) and
Krista Bridges (Blythe & Virginia, Late Fragments).

The updated version
follows Dr. Henry Jekyll, a physician whose evenings are spent researching a
rare and sacred Amazonian flower so potent it is said to separate the soul,
giving life to man’s dark self. When a series of brutal murders ensues, Jekyll
knows it is Edward Hyde, his violent alter ego, who is responsible. Unable to
control Hyde and desperate to end his misery, Jekyll enlists the help of the
attorney, Claire Wheaton, a new character introduced for this new adaptation.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was shot in Montreal during the summer of 2007.
The TV movie was written by Paul Margolis, directed by Paolo Barzman, and produced by Irene Litinsky and Francois Sylvestre. Robert
Halmi, Sr., Robert Halmi, Jr. and Michael Prupas are executive producers.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a timeless tale about good and evil and the
dual nature of man,” said Robert Halmi, Jr., the president and CEO of RHI
Entertainment. “This ingeniously re-imagined adaptation brings the haunting
classic to life in a contemporary setting while still remaining true to the
original story.”

“This film will captivate
viewers of all ages and interests,” added Brandon Burgess, the chairman and CEO
of ION Media Networks. “The new RHI production further builds on our commitment
to make ION Television the weekend destination for quality programming that
will attract and delight the widest possible audience.”
