Restructure at Big Idea Entertainment

FRANKLIN: The faith-based studio Big Idea Entertainment has promoted Mike Nawrocki, VeggieTales co-creator and VP of development, to executive VP of Big Idea Entertainment Studios, giving him oversight and leadership for all productions.

Big Idea Entertainment has tapped Mark Steele, the president and executive creative of Steelehouse Productions, to the newly created role of chief of creative affairs. Steele has some 20 years of experiences in writing, directing and production. He will contribute to the creative development process behind the VeggieTales series within Big Idea Studios.

Nawrocki has been part of Big Idea since its inception in 1993. He has created, written and directed a number of popular segments and has also done screenwriting and directing for several VeggieTales episodes.

“Mike Nawrocki has made invaluable contributions to values-based family and children’s entertainment over the years,” said Leslie Ferrell, Big Idea Entertainment’s general manager. “No one is better suited or more qualified than Mike for such an important leadership position.”

“Mark has a proven track record in creating and developing children’s and family projects,” added Ferrell. “We are excited to have him join the team."
