Asia is the fastest growing region for IPTV, but European markets are strengthening on an individual basis. Europe reported a 43.26 percent regional market share for IPTV, followed by Asia with 38.84 percent, the Americas with 17.39 percent and the Middle East and Africa representing 0.51 percent. Russia entered the top ten for IPTV for the first time, in eighth place. The current world leader is France, where growth continues to be strong despite the already high penetration rate. China is predicated to soon take over the top spot, due to its market size. In the top five are the U.S. (three), South Korea (four) and Japan (five). Rounding out the top ten are Germany, Belgium, Taiwan and the Netherlands.
