ProSiebenSat.1 Reports Record Earnings

MUNICH, February 22: ProSiebenSat.1 Group, which today
announced its acquisition of the German online shopping resource Solute, has
reported 2006 revenues of 2.1 billion euros, a 6-percent gain on 2005, with
profits up 9 percent to 240.7 million euros.

“The ProSiebenSat.1 Group had a very successful fiscal
2006,” said Guillaume de Posch, the CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media. “We increased
our TV advertising revenues and enhanced our stations’ profitability even
further. Our new lines of business sped up the group’s growth even more.
Strategically, we accomplished a great deal during the year. We ensured digital
distribution of our programming, and we put new services on the market, like
our two pay-TV channels. In Call TV, mobile TV and video-on-demand, we are
already the largest provider in Germany. We’ve positioned the group
successfully for the digital future.”

Free-TV revenues were up 4 percent to 1.93 billion euros.
Sat.1 contributed 855.5 million euros, a 3-percent gain, with a pre-tax profit
of 204.6 million euros, up 27 percent. ProSieben’s revenues were down 2 percent
to 736.8 million euros, and pre-tax profit slumped 11 percent to 147.9 million
euros. At Kabel 1, revenues were up 14 percent to 255.2 million euros while
pre-tax profit soared 48 percent to 69.7 million euros. And N24’s revenues were
up 8 percent to 89.4 million euros, while pre-tax profit rose 39 percent to
13.1 million euros.

“We will strengthen our core
business in free TV with a whole line of new programming,” de Posch noted. “Our
stations have many new programs that will debut in the spring. At the same
time, we will expand our new lines of business. Our diversification revenues
will grow both organically and through acquisitions. With our investment in
Solute we have just acquired another innovative Internet company. We are thus
further expanding our position as one of the largest providers on the
Internet.”

ProSiebenSat.1 has acquired a
majority stake in Solute, which operates www.billiger.de, a resource for price comparisons that records about 34 million page
impressions per month. ProSiebenSat.1 has the option of acquiring the remaining
portion of Solute at a later date. The deal boosts ProSieben’s new media
presence, which also includes stakes in the user-generated content site MyVideo
and the social networking site lokalisten.de.
