Promax/BDA Wraps With Attendance of 3,400

NEW YORK, June 23:
Promax/BDA ended yesterday with attendance of 3,400, up by more than 300 from
last year, capping off with the Promax/BDA awards at New York’s Marriott
Marquis hotel, hosted by Saturday Night Live’s Darrell Hammond.

The U.K.’s Red Bee Media
and Italy’s Fox International Channels were the big winners last night. For the
Promax World Gold awards, Red Bee Media took 15 Gold and six Silver Muse Awards
and Fox International scored 13 Gold and eight Silver Muse Awards. BSkyB was
also among the big winners in the World Gold competition with 11 Gold and three
Silver Muse Awards.

In the North America
Awards competition, The NBC Agency led with 16 Gold and nine Silver Muse
Awards. ABC and Bell ExpressVu followed with 18 awards each—ABC had 13
Gold and five Silver, while Bell ExpressVu earned 12 Gold and six Silver
Awards.

Other highlights of the
event included presentations by Dr. Maya Angelou, Anderson Cooper, Larry King
and Mike Wallace, and surprise appearances by Stephen Colbert and Megan
Mullally.
